Bio:
Hans Hansen (1884–1940) founded his silversmith workshop in Kolding in 1906 and created a series of modernist silver objects, characterized by simple functionalist forms and high craftsmanship. After his death in 1940, the company was continued by his son, and Hans Hansen silver became an icon of Danish design in the 1940s and 50s, often combining functionalism with decorative elegance.
