An expressive woodcut by the Swedish ceramicist and visual artist Åke Holm, who frequently explored religious and mythological motifs in his graphic works. The subject depicts Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden with the Tree of Knowledge and the serpent, rendered in Holm’s characteristic monumental style.

Bio:
Åke Holm (1900–1980) was a Swedish ceramicist, painter, and printmaker, trained at Höganäsbolaget. He became known as one of the foremost figures in 20th-century Swedish ceramics, but also worked with graphic art, particularly woodcuts and linocuts, often focusing on biblical and mythological themes. His works are represented in major institutions such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, and several international collections.
