A characteristic graphic work by Swedish artist Åke Holm, renowned for his religious and biblical themes expressed both in ceramics and prints. The work shows a group of stylized figures by the water with fish in the foreground, executed in Holm’s simplified yet expressive woodcut style.

Bio:
Åke Holm (1900–1980) was a Swedish ceramicist, painter and printmaker, trained at Höganäsbolaget. He is best known for his religious subjects and his simplified, expressive style, often drawing on biblical narratives. His works – ceramic reliefs as well as graphic prints – are today regarded as some of the most distinctive examples of Swedish 20th-century religious art.
