Bio:
Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 under the patronage of Queen Juliane Marie and is world-renowned for its hand-painted porcelain. The “Saxon Flower” pattern, introduced in the late 18th century and inspired by contemporary botanical engravings, quickly became one of the manufactory’s most popular decorations. Unique forms such as lidded jars with handles are among the rarer and most desirable collector’s items today.
