Bio:
Murano glass from the 1950s and 60s was characterised by technical virtuosity and bold colour combinations. The sommerso (“submerged glass”) technique—perfected by masters such as Seguso, Mandruzzato, and Barbini—produced vibrant layered effects and striking sculptural forms. These works embody the refined modernist expression that made Murano glass internationally renowned.
