Art Deco faience lidded jar with relief-decorated body and lid featuring a figurative monkey finial. Classic cream craquelé glaze with soft violet shading. Model no. 117/138.

Bio:
Jens Jacob Bregnø (1877–1946) was a Danish sculptor and designer associated with Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grøndahl. During the 1920s and 1930s, he created striking Art Deco works characterized by elegant figurative motifs and refined craftsmanship. His faience and ceramic designs remain highly collectible today for their artistic and decorative quality.
