Large hand-painted oval porcelain serving dish decorated with lilac floral compositions and a gently scalloped rim. Classic Meissen design with delicate pink-lilac detailing, ideal for serving or as a decorative centrepiece.

Origin: Germany.
Manufacturer: Meissen.

Condition: Very good condition, minor wear. Marked with Meissen crossed swords, cancelled with two incised lines.

Since the early 18th century, Meissen has been Europe’s leading porcelain manufactory, renowned for its hand-painted decoration and exceptional craftsmanship. In the 1930s, traditional floral motifs were reinterpreted in softer tones such as lilac, creating an elegant and characteristic expression of the period.
