Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) was an Estonian-Swedish ceramic artist who worked for both Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby. Her works are characterized by organic forms, warm glazes, and decorative reliefs inspired by nature and folk art. She is today regarded as one of the leading designers of Upsala-Ekeby’s golden age during the 1950s and 60s.
