Rectangular Art Deco pen tray in glazed stoneware with Gustavsberg’s signature turquoise Argenta glaze and inlaid silver decorations of stylised floral and leaf motifs.
Origin: Sweden, Gustavsberg.

Bio:
Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) served as head designer at Gustavsberg from 1917 and became a key figure in Swedish ceramic modernism. His Argenta series from the 1930s, combining cool turquoise glaze with refined silver inlay, is considered an iconic example of Scandinavian Art Deco design.
