Bowl, model 1510, “Argenta” series.
Low bowl with turquoise-green glaze and silver inlay depicting a fish in motion. A classic example from Kåge’s celebrated Argenta series, where the metallic silver decoration contrasts elegantly with the deep greenish-blue glaze.

Origin: Sweden.
Designer: Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960).

Bio:
Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of Gustavsberg’s most influential designers, serving as artistic director from 1917 to 1949. He created numerous iconic series, including “Argenta,” introduced in the 1930s, which combined copper-green glaze and silver inlay in refined, decorative forms. The series became a hallmark of Swedish Art Deco and modernist design, and its pieces remain highly sought after by collectors today.
