Ipsens Enke Terracottafabrik was founded in 1843 in Copenhagen and became renowned for its high-quality terracotta and ceramic works. In the early 20th century, the factory played a significant role in Danish Art Nouveau (Jugendstil), characterised by organic natural forms and refined craftsmanship. Today, its pieces are highly sought after for their combination of technical skill and period elegance.
