Bio:
During the 19th century, Chinese porcelain workshops continued the long tradition of hand-painted blue-and-white decoration, a technique rooted in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The small iron spots visible in the glaze are a natural result of the early production process, attesting to the authenticity of the porcelain. Such pieces were often made for both domestic use and export to Europe.
