Lidded jar, 1930/40s.
Porcelain lidded jar with an iridescent blue-purple glaze, hand-painted goldfish motif, and refined gold accents on the lid and foot. A characteristic example of Crown Devon Fieldings’ decorative porcelain from the interwar period.

Bio:
Crown Devon Fieldings was an English porcelain and ceramics manufacturer renowned for its vibrant glazes, luxurious iridescent finishes and hand-painted decorations. During the 1930s and 40s, the factory explored both Art Deco-inspired forms and richly ornamented designs, making their pieces highly collectible today.
