Meissen Blue Onion pattern sugar bowl and cream jug, mid-20th century.
A charming set consisting of a classic lidded sugar bowl and a cream jug in the iconic Blue Onion pattern (Zwiebelmuster). Both pieces are hand-painted in cobalt blue underglaze and made in the elegant forms characteristic of Meissen’s early 20th-century production.

Origin: Germany, Meissen.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions:
– Height: 8–9 cm.
– Diameter: 7–9 cm.
Period: Mid-20th century.
Condition: Very good condition with light signs of use.

About the design:
Meissen’s Zwiebelmuster was introduced in the 1730s and is among Europe’s most classic porcelain decorations. The hand-painted cobalt blue ornamentation gives each piece its own unique character.
