Set of six Meissen plates in the classic Zwiebelmuster (Blue Onion) pattern, hand-painted in cobalt-blue underglaze with a lightly scalloped rim. A harmonious and decorative late 20th-century set.

Origin: Germany, Meissen.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: D. 20 cm.
Period: Late 20th century.
Condition: Very good condition with light signs of use.

Bio:
Meissen’s Zwiebelmuster was created in the 1730s and remains one of the world’s most iconic porcelain patterns. The cobalt-blue underglaze decoration is still painted by hand, representing nearly three centuries of continuous craftsmanship. Later 20th-century examples are admired for their clean execution and high quality.
