Four classic Meissen plates from the iconic Zwiebelmuster (Blue Onion) pattern with scalloped rim and hand-painted blue underglaze decoration. An early 20th-century set of fine quality.

Origin: Germany, Meissen.
Material: Porcelain.

Condition: Very good condition with light signs of use. First factory quality.

Bio:
Meissen’s Zwiebelmuster was introduced in the 1730s and is one of the world’s most recognisable porcelain patterns. Painted by hand in cobalt-blue underglaze, it has been produced continuously for nearly 300 years. Early 20th-century examples are especially valued for their craftsmanship and crisp execution.
