Porcelain figure “Dirch Jan Isbrandtsen”, early 20th century.
Hand-painted overglaze figure depicting a man in traditional regional costume, standing on a classic rectangular base. Underside with impressed inscription “DIRCH JAN ISBRANDTSEN” and the Juliane Marie mark.
Marked and cancelled with one incised line.
Origin: Denmark, Royal Copenhagen.
Material: Porcelain, overglaze decoration.
Dimensions: H. 34 cm, D. 13 cm.
Period: Early 20th century.
Condition: Very good condition with light signs of wear. Cancelled with one incised line.

Bio:
Founded in 1775, Royal Copenhagen produced a wide range of finely detailed figurines throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, many inspired by Danish and Scandinavian folk costumes. The Juliane Marie mark, used on several of these works, reflects a period characterized by classical forms and meticulous hand-painting.
