Elegant set comprising three demi-tasse coffee cups with matching saucers in white porcelain, decorated with a subtle leaf motif executed in transparent, lightly green-tinted glaze areas. The light and refined appearance, together with softly balanced forms, is characteristic of Friedl Holzer-Kjellberg’s later porcelain designs for Arabia.

Bio:
Friedl Holzer-Kjellberg (1905–1993) was an Austrian-born ceramic artist who worked at Arabia in Finland from 1936. She is particularly renowned for her technically refined porcelain, including the celebrated “rice porcelain”, as well as later series featuring embossed and transparent decoration. Her work represents a refined expression of Nordic modernism and is highly sought after by collectors today.
