Bio:
The Butterfly pattern was introduced by Bing & Grøndahl in the late 19th century and reflects the light, nature-inspired aesthetics of the Rococo revival. The service is characterised by delicate floral scrolls, insect motifs, and its distinctive scale-pattern border. Plates from this early period, particularly those retaining their gilt rims, are rare and highly sought after by collectors.
