Meissen, miniature vases, pair.
Small baluster-shaped miniature vases in white porcelain, decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral bouquets and finished with a gilt rim. Marked to the base with the Meissen crossed swords.

Origin: Saxony, Germany.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 7 cm, D. 6 cm.
Period: Approx. 1930s–1940s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. First factory quality.

Bio:
Founded in 1710, Meissen is Europe’s oldest porcelain manufactory. The crossed swords mark, introduced in the 1720s, is one of the most recognisable porcelain marks worldwide and signifies authenticity and quality. During the interwar years and the 1940s, Meissen continued producing classical floral decorations in miniature formats, executed with high technical skill and reflecting the manufactory’s long-standing tradition of hand-painted porcelain.
