Bio:
Upsala Ekeby was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic manufacturers and played a key role in the development of Swedish art pottery from the late 19th century through the 20th century. During the 1930s, the factory became known for decorative stoneware characterised by nature-inspired ornamentation and rich experimental glazes. Works from this period reflect the shift from national romantic traditions toward a more modernist aesthetic and are highly regarded by collectors today.
