Bio:
Mason’s traces back to the potter Charles James Mason (1791–1856), who founded the firm in Staffordshire in the early 19th century. Mason became particularly known for durable ironstone wares that were widely exported. The factory grew into one of the best-known English makers of transferware and tablewares. The Mason’s name continued under changing ownership and remains an established reference in British ceramics.
