Bio:
Grethe Meyer (1918–2008) was a Danish architect and designer educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She worked extensively with industrial design, housing and product development and is recognised for her rational, functional approach to form. Her Blue Line service for Royal Copenhagen, introduced in 1965, became an icon of Danish modern design, celebrated for its clarity, proportion and everyday usability.
