Rare Royal Copenhagen figurine 1828, boy with ball and bat.

Porcelain figurine depicting a standing boy holding a ball and bat in his hands. Hand-painted glaze decoration in muted colors. Model 1828. First quality. Manufactured in the 1920s. Designed by Christian Thomsen in 1916.

Origin: Denmark.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 17 cm, D. 7 cm.
Period: 1920s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 in Copenhagen under royal patronage. The factory is internationally renowned for its hand-painted porcelain and high artistic standards. In the early twentieth century Royal Copenhagen produced a wide range of naturalistic porcelain figurines, carefully modelled and hand-painted in soft tones.
