Bio:
Georg Jensen (1866–1935) was a Danish silversmith and designer and one of the most influential figures in Scandinavian design. He founded the Georg Jensen silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904. His work is recognised for its organic forms and inspiration from nature, strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement. The Georg Jensen workshop became internationally renowned for its silverware, and many of its classic flatware patterns, including Old Danish, remain in production today.
