Bio:
Carlo Moretti (1934–2008) was an Italian designer and co-founder of the Carlo Moretti glassworks in Murano, established in 1958 together with his brother Giovanni Moretti. The company became known for its modern Murano glass characterised by pure forms, strong colours and exceptional craftsmanship. Carlo Moretti combined traditional Venetian glassmaking techniques with a refined modernist design language, and the workshop quickly gained international recognition. Many of their designs from the 1960s and 1970s are today considered iconic examples of modern Murano glass.
