Rectangular wall relief in white biscuit porcelain featuring a neoclassical figural frieze after Bertel Thorvaldsen, executed with refined detailing and a balanced composition inspired by classical antiquity.

Origin: Denmark.

Bio:
Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770–1844) was a Danish sculptor and one of the most important figures of Neoclassicism in Europe. He worked primarily in Rome, where he created monumental sculptures and reliefs inspired by classical antiquity. His motifs were later reproduced in porcelain and biscuit by Royal Copenhagen, making his work accessible to a wider audience.
