Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Finnish-Swedish ceramicist and designer, best known for his work at Rörstrand where he served as artistic director in the mid 20th century. He created numerous iconic stoneware series and sculptural works, often inspired by organic forms found in nature. Nylund is regarded as one of the most important Scandinavian ceramic artists of his time.
