Large faience cups with matching saucers, decorated in a polychrome orientalist Japanese style featuring pagoda motifs, buildings, bird and floral elements. Model Japan, produced between 1866–1925 and dated to the 1880s.

Bio:
Rörstrand was founded in 1726 in Stockholm and is one of Europe’s oldest porcelain and faience manufacturers. In the late 19th century, the factory became known for decorative tableware inspired by international trends, including orientalist motifs such as the popular Japan pattern. Rörstrand gained wide recognition for its technical quality and artistic development and remains an important part of Swedish design history today.
