Bio:
Åke Edwall (1926–1988) was a Swedish painter and graphic artist educated in Stockholm, Paris, Nice, and later the United States. He worked across abstract-oriented painting, still life, and figurative compositions, often exploring colour and form through an experimental modernist approach. Edwall was part of Sweden’s postwar modernist movement and is represented in collections including Moderna Museet. His work reflects an internationally informed artistic practice rooted in Nordic modernism.
