Naturalistically modelled porcelain figurine of a reclining German Shepherd in glazed porcelain, model number 1789, first quality.
Origin: Denmark.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 6 cm, L. 22 cm.
Period: 1920s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Bio:
Bing & Grøndahl was founded in Copenhagen in 1853 by sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl (1836–1900) together with brothers Meyer Hermann Bing (1807–1883) and Jacob Herman Bing (1804–1889). The company became internationally renowned for its porcelain figurines and exceptional craftsmanship, particularly during the first half of the twentieth century.
