Bio:
Svend Hammershøi (1873–1948) was a Danish ceramicist and designer renowned for his important work with Kähler Keramik in Næstved. Brother of painter Vilhelm Hammershøi, he created some of Kähler’s most iconic forms, often characterised by classical proportions, fluted decoration, and sophisticated glazes. His works from the first half of the twentieth century are considered among the most important contributions to Danish ceramic design.
