Bio:
Alf Wallander (1862–1914) was a Swedish artist, designer, and ceramicist, recognised as one of the leading figures in Scandinavian Art Nouveau design. Working for Rörstrand from the late nineteenth century, he created some of the factory’s most artistically ambitious works, characterised by organic forms, floral decoration, and strong international Jugendstil influences. His works remain highly regarded today for their elegance, technical excellence, and historical importance in Nordic decorative arts.
