Empire secretary desk made in hand-polished mahogany with marquetry from the 1840s. The piece features a stepped upper section with columns and mirror, as well as a hidden compartment. The lower section includes a built-in writing flap lined with green felt and tapered legs characteristic of Empire furniture. The secretary combines storage, writing functionality and decorative details in a single piece.
