Goblet-shaped vase in glazed ceramic with hand-decorated floral and foliate motifs in brown, green, yellow and blue tones. Model 1049/75.

Origin: Sweden.
Designer: Mari Simmulson (1911-2000).
Material: Ceramic.
Dimensions: H. 13 cm, D. 14 cm.
Period: 1960s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) was an Estonian-born Swedish ceramic artist and designer. She worked for Upsala-Ekeby from 1949 to 1972 and developed a number of distinctive ceramic series featuring decorative motifs inspired by nature. Her work is celebrated for its expressive forms, detailed decoration and high artistic quality, making her one of the most important figures in Swedish ceramics.
