Large decorative glazed ceramic dish with a flowing shell-shaped form and light sapphire-blue glaze accented by a gilded rim. The Safir model is among Arthur Percy’s most recognised ceramic designs for Upsala Ekeby.

Arthur Percy (1886–1976) was a Swedish artist, designer, and ceramicist. He joined Upsala Ekeby in 1923 and created some of the factory’s most iconic models. Percy became known for his elegant forms and refined glazes, helping establish Swedish ceramics as a leading force in Scandinavian design during the 20th century.
