Bernt Friberg (1899–1981) was one of Sweden’s most celebrated ceramic artists. He spent most of his career at Gustavsberg, where he gained an international reputation for his perfectly thrown forms and sophisticated glazes. Friberg’s work is represented in museums worldwide and is regarded as among the finest achievements of twentieth-century Scandinavian studio ceramics.
