Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted tureen.

Very large hand-painted porcelain tureen from Royal Copenhagen. Decorated in the classic Blue Fluted pattern with hand-painted cobalt blue decoration. The tureen dates to the early nineteenth century and shows a production glaze flaw on the lower section as well as hairlines and chips.

Origin: Denmark.
Material: Hand-painted porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 28 cm, D. 26 cm, L. 40 cm.
Period: 1820s.
Condition : Antique used condition. The piece exhibits manufacturing imperfections to the glaze on the lower section, consistent with the production techniques of the period. The tureen displays internal hairline cracks (crazing) and there are chips to both the rim of the lid and the corresponding rim of the tureen itself. Overall, these condition issues should be regarded in the context of the object's age and historical use.
