Bio:
Harry Waldemar Svensson (1924–2006) was a Swedish painter, printmaker, sculptor, and furniture designer. After training as a furniture and interior designer, he devoted himself entirely to fine art from 1954. He studied at the Gerlesborg School of Fine Art and under Erik Wörts in Copenhagen. Alongside easel painting and printmaking, Svensson completed numerous public commissions, including altarpieces, reliefs, and murals for churches and civic buildings in Sweden. His oeuvre ranges from figurative and mythological subjects to expressive modernist compositions, and his work is represented in several Swedish municipal collections.
