Bio:
Eugène de Kermadec (1899–1976) was a French painter and printmaker educated at the École des Arts Décoratifs and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Working within the generation that followed the pioneers of Cubism, he developed a distinctive lyrical visual language that combined Cubist structure with expressive colour and fluid forms. He held his first solo exhibition in 1929 and was closely associated with Galerie Louise Leiris, one of Paris's leading galleries for Cubist and modern art. Throughout his career he exhibited extensively in France, and his works are represented in numerous museum and private collections.
