Bio:
Leopold Falkowski (1913–1994) was a Polish-born, Swedish painter known for landscapes, portraits, and abstract compositions. After settling in Sweden, he drew frequent inspiration from the landscapes of Skåne and the Österlen region, where coastal scenery, open countryside, and changing light became recurring subjects. His work ranges from representational views to increasingly simplified and colour-oriented compositions with a distinctly modern visual language.
