Bio:
Gorm Eriksen 1940–2022 was a Danish painter and printmaker, born in Copenhagen and educated at Den Grafiske Højskole from 1962–64, with a particular focus on lithography and graphic design. He worked in several media, including oil painting, intaglio, monotype and lithography, and exhibited extensively in Denmark as well as internationally. Eriksen’s work is distinguished by an expressive use of vivid colour, energetic lines and organic, often figurative forms. Music played an important role in his creative process and was a recurring source of inspiration for the rhythm and dynamism of his compositions.
