Bio:
Danish figurative art and drawing during the second half of the 20th century was characterised by an increasingly free and spontaneous treatment of the human figure. Artists frequently employed rapid contour lines and reduced detail to capture the movement, pose, and character of the body. In this work, the sparse, almost sketch-like linework creates a lively nude study in which the figures are suggested rather than meticulously modelled.
