Bio:
Lars Grönfelt (1926–1982) was a Finnish-born visual artist and draughtsman, born in Tampere and resident in Sweden from 1954. Self-taught, he became particularly associated with Surrealism, developing an imaginative visual language of shifting forms, symbols and unexpected imagery. Swedish artist reference works describe his art as remarkably varied and poetic, at times producing striking and surprising effects.
