Royal Copenhagen was founded in Copenhagen in 1775 as The Danish Porcelain Factory. Blue Fluted Plain is the factory’s oldest decoration and has been part of its production since the foundation. The service is distinguished by its hand-painted cobalt blue decoration following the fluted form of the porcelain and carries pattern number 1.
