Royal Copenhagen was founded in Copenhagen in 1775 as The Danish Porcelain Factory. Blue Fluted Plain is the factory’s oldest decoration and has been a central part of its production since its foundation. The service is distinguished by its hand-painted cobalt blue decoration following the fluted form of the porcelain and carries pattern number 1.
