Trille Jørgensen, large stoneware relief.

Large and heavy handmade relief in fired and glazed stoneware with a distinctive Brutalist composition. The surface is constructed from geometric and organic sections with deeply textured areas, incised decoration and varied glazes in earthy brown, beige and dark tones. Signed and dated 1978.

Bio:
Ane Trille Jørgensen (born 1944) is a Danish ceramicist educated at the Funen Art Academy. She worked under the name Trille Keramik in Odense and is known for her stoneware, including vases, bowls and ceramic reliefs. Her work from the 1970s is characterised by strong sculptural forms, tactile surfaces and earth-toned glazes. Trille Keramik is documented as an Odense ceramic workshop in contemporary Danish directories from the late 1970s.
