Bio:
Kilim is a traditional flat-weaving technique in which the pattern is formed directly by the weft without a pile. The technique has been used for centuries for carpets and other textiles and is particularly associated with geometric ornament, stylised motifs and distinct areas of colour. During the mid-20th century, kilim carpets also became popular in European interiors for their graphic appearance and handcrafted character.
