Bio:
Theresienthal was founded in 1836 near Zwiesel in Bavaria by Bohemian-born glass merchant Franz Steigerwald. The glassworks was named after Queen Therese, wife of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. The manufactory became renowned for luxurious handcrafted crystal and historically supplied glassware to the Bavarian royal household and other European courts. Theresienthal continues to employ traditional techniques including mouth-blowing, cutting, engraving and gilding.
