Bio:
The Gustavsberg porcelain factory was founded in 1825 in Gustavsberg, near Stockholm, and developed into one of Sweden’s most important producers of porcelain and art ceramics. Around 1900, the factory’s artistic production was influenced by the Art Nouveau movement, featuring organic forms, botanical motifs and decorative glazing techniques. The factory collaborated with prominent ceramic artists, including Gunnar G Wennerberg and Josef Ekberg, who helped shape its artistic identity. Early Gustavsberg art ceramics remain highly sought after by collectors of Scandinavian ceramics.
